"And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble. For we fix our attention, not on the things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever."
Corinthians 4; 17-18
Everyone of us has his or her own life verse. A verse, thought, or idea from the bible that we hold on to or we use to guide us in our daily lives. This is my life verse.
This helped me in my training (COCC training). Those were the tough times, I admit. Everyday was hard enough to make me think why in the world had I joined this camaraderie. But I survived and I am very proud. I had to sacrifice my being a choir member just so I could train. It wasn't easy. I wasn't used to it. Everytime I went to church, I felt that God was somehow distant to me. I know why. i had to sacrifice Him so I could be an officer and up until now I'm still guilty. But I had to let it go. What I did was, hold on to His words, do the right thing and when everything is finally done, I'll go back to Him and repent for it. Right now, I'm still in the process of coming back to the Lord and somehow I think He has forgiven me.
I understand this verse in the thought that we should think of problems as challenges. If we do face a challenge, we should be optimistic and thankful since it's like sharing Christ's sufferings. Our frustrations from these problems are temporary. We should not be contained to this world because this world is a big diversion from living a life with God.
I hope more people would know this message because it's the truth.
Remember: God will never give us problems that we couldn't handle. If He does, He will give us a way out and back to Him. He will never leave us there. He'll always save us.
